New Photos Posted

After more than a year I've finally caught up and posted some new photos.  Make sure to check out this year's weddings as well!

The summer is a busy time but I'm planning to make a few more updates relatively soon.  I'm hoping to get to work with a larger number of seniors this year as the time for senior portraits is quickly approaching.  Top priorities for work on the site include expanding the portrait section of my blog and adding some information on real estate photography. 

You may or may not notice that I've also removed quite a few photos (and even a gallery or two).  That's part of an effort to improve the overall quality of photos that are on this site.  Deciding which photos get to go on the site is actually quite difficult.  I like to be able to show you something new, but in the end I think quality is more important than quantity.

Finally I've also reviewed my pricing and purchase options and made a few adjustments that I think better reflect that quality and service that I want to offer.

Major website update underway. Check out the nearly complete Wedding & Portrait blog that's now live. More to come soon!

Other changes coming include a real estate and commercial photography section, a lot of little tweaks throughout, and, of course, new photos!

Winter Update

Freezing cold, nasty winds and plenty of snow- winter, it's been fun, but hello spring!  Thanks for this little gem though.  I'm quite pleased to finally have a first-class shot of the mountains with snow.  It's actually more of a challenge than you'd think.  You see, first it doesn't really snow very much or very often.  Then when there is snow there's practically never any light and the sky is almost always a cloudless, flat gray.  Once the conditions do finally align you've got to be in the right place at the right time with the right equipment.  Then there's the editing...  Sometimes it's funny to think about how much goes into capturing and presenting a single photo.

Well with this update I've put up several new photos, taken down a few and done a little updating and redesigning here and there.  You might notice that the header image, in addition to being a new photo, has a slightly different, more blended look.  I'm also figuring out which Google AdSense ads I want to keep and which I want to get ride of.  I want a little bit cleaner look and the only ads that really get clicked are on the bottom of the page anyway.  Lastly I'm working on putting together both Portrait/Wedding and Real Estate sections.  I'm planning to do a lot more work in those areas this year.

Christmas is Coming

After winter's first snowfall Christmas seems just around the corner. Today I packed up my last solo show of the year at the Little Theatre.  What a neat little venue- I really enjoyed having some work there for a couple weeks. 

Over the last several weeks I've added quite a few photos from this Fall, all of which can be found in the New Additions section.  What a spectacular Fall it was- I still haven't properly gone through all the photos I shot. 

As 2008 rolls in I'm planning on starting to do more real estate and portrait photography, so look for more information on that in the near future.  In the meantime contact me directly if you have any needs in those areas.
