| Mark VanDonge is a Walla Walla
native who attended Pomona
College in Claremont, CA. While earning his BA in Math & Economics
he picked up an interest in photography, primarily as a way to capture and
share memories with friends. That interest blossomed and grew as each time
he came home he was struck by something in Walla Walla that you just don't
see in Southern California- an expansive sky filled with clouds of all
shapes, sizes and colors.
Since graduating and returning to Walla Walla, Mark watches each day to
see if there is anything unique developing along the horizon. When the
conditions are right he runs to his car, speeds out into the countryside and
positions himself to capture something that may last mere seconds before it
is gone, never to be seen in quite the same way again.
When he's not out taking photos Mark works as a Realtor at
Windermere
Real Estate. He enjoys tennis, baseball and biking and loves to
travel whenever possible.
Mark's photos have appeared in a number of regional publications and his
work has been on display and received awards at a variety of
exhibitions, shows and contests. |
